Inauguration Of HARITHA GRAMAM in Cheppanam Village on 26th March, 2006 by Sri. R. T. Ravi Varma, Editor-in-Charge, Karshakasree

Yasoram Charitable Trust has instituted a new project “Haritha Gramam” to help Keralite Villagers indulge in agricultural activities with the long term aim of achieving self sufficiency in their requirement for vegetables. The scheme was first introduced in Cheppanam Village, Kumabalam Panchayath. The project at Cheppanam is being jointly funded by CAPART (Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology – under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India) and Yasoram Charitable Trust.     

The project was inaugurated by Sri. R.T. Ravi Varma, Editor in charge, Karshakasree on 26th March (Sunday), 2006 at Cheppanam.  Sri. A.R.S. Vadhyar, Managing Trustee, Yasoram Charitable Trust, welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. Jayasree Vadhyar, Trustee, Yasoram Charitable Trust, presided over the function.

The irrigation support facilities for the villagers were distributed by the following persons:
